Dog and Cat Fostering: Foster Parents provide temporary housing and care for our rescued pets until permanent, loving homes can be found. NTAR provides veterinary care of our fostered pets, and our foster parents provide the love! Our Foster Parents

are responsible for transporting animals to veterinary appointments at Summerfields Animal Hospital on occasional mornings, evenings, or both.

 

Animal Support Volunteers: These volunteers transport and handle dogs or cats at adoption events, clean cages and provide general support to our foster parents.

 

Adoption Screeners: These volunteers review the pet adoption applications that have been submitted by interested adopters.

 

Fundraisers plan short-term (e.g., bake sales) and long-term events (e.g., Painted Chair Auction, Have-A-Heart Wine Tasting) and we are always looking for fresh ideas. In addition, some fundraisers write grants to fund specific projects.

 

Public Relations volunteers generate and maintain media contacts, write press releases, promote events, and attend community events to promote NTAR.

 

Graphic Design volunteers take photographs and design printed materials to advertise special events and ongoing efforts to find homes for our animals.

 

Web and Database Admin volunteers manage NTAR database functions, create, organize and update web pages, and post animal photos and descriptions.
